Marco, I'm sure Greg Smith will respond to this, but since it is over the
weekend, I'll contribute what I know which was forwarded from one of our SMA
Distributors on Dec.3rd, as well as the attached letter from SMA:
SMA experienced some manufacturing issues (component shortage) with the
SB3000TL, SB4000TL, and SB5000TL. We have had them on backorder since
October, and so have may other distributors. You will find attached the
letter SMA sent to its distributors informing them of the delay.
In general, we are very pleased with the versatility, reliability, and
efficiency of this inverter and have no plans to stop installing them.
We have found other local distributors that have a stock of them, here in
Austin.

As of a couple of weeks ago SMA had put a freeze on the shipping of a number
of its residential transformerless inverter models.
Does anyone know what's going on and what the status is as far as giving the
green light to ship 'em again?
Thanks,
marco
