for standby (bbgt) systems, please consider wet cell lead calcium cells. i have a 23 year old set still going strong.
lead antimony will go 12 years... if you are lucky!

They have been a standby for this type of system. If they truly are not lasting as long as previously, what other options do we have for a reasonably priced, decent quality battery in that amp hour range?
