Jay,
Just between planes.
If the “stick on” cannot be attached to the battery terminal(negative), then apply it to the top surface of outer cover close to the opening for the terminal.
Permatex 80050 Clear RTV Silicone Adhesive Sealant can be used to attach the temperature sensor.

Some equipment folks send a stick on battery temp sensor vs the bolt on type.
Do you recommend removing the cover and attaching the TS to the actual battery or just sticking it to the top of the red case?
And if we can remove the top what do we re-glue it with?
