Several years ago I measured 1250-1280 consistently over 2 weeks between 16,000' - 18,000' in Tibet with my Daystar. Readings remain normal to this day still, it's a great little meter.  My research before I left on the trip revealed that if one allows for a 1% gain in current per 1000' ASL you will be well covered as it is closer to 1/2 of this modifier. Ended up doing hydro, never know what you'll find! Your readings do seem a bit ripe, I would suggest you find another insolation meter to compare to, if an issue Daystar will repair at a reasonable cost. -jeff
