[RE-wrenches] Nickel-Iron Batteries

I have looked at these batteries and they are very expensive for the kWh I am also conserned with the charge/discharge rate. I have a project that I am thinking of using these for, in that the kOH stays KOH through out the charge discharge, which meand they will not freeze like lead acid. So for low temp of the battery survirval the NiFe looks good. . I do not know how they behave when hot, but LA are very shortened life.

It is a Colorado company, but they are importing them from China. I've met the owner.
My understanding is the plates do not deteriorate, but the electrolyte needs to be replaced every 5 - 10 years, so technically you would never need another set, just KOH.
