I am a little late on this:

Mark and Jay, 

thanks for the code reference for the solar accumulation panel bus rating. It is too bad that adding a little 15 amp receptacle for your monitoring that draws like 7 watts is enough to incite a derate under the more optimistic school of thought. Also, of course, always tricky when there is ambiguity for for the plan check v. inspector nightmare situations.
