[RE-wrenches] PV direct pump under 30V and conduit in building

I'd like some help with code references for an inspector that is requiring
EMT for a 12V PV panel that runs a solar water heating circulation pump.
The wiring is run through the attic and down to the pump near the water
heater. I've never ran into this before (but I have run into this
inspector). :)
