I see.
My experience with the M190 ac connector is this: It is possible to join the
two connector halves and rotate the cuff sufficiently to establish an
electrical connection. But if you don't rotate the cuff until the detant is
engaged, you may not completely seal the connection by compressing the
internal face gasket.
I really haven't looked into it much further but I wonder if the water you
observed entered through an incomplete connector mate, along the conductors,
into the inverter enclosure?

I just figured out why I could not reset a GFI error on one of my
micro-inverters. First, I noticed condensation in the led lens, then water
literally dripped out of the AC side as soon as I disconnected it. This was
mounted on the top backside of a panel, roughly two ft above a flat roof.
