Peter,
I recently bought a 250 watt grid tie inverter from SWEA in Holland. It
is designed for connecting a 250 watt wind generator to the grid without
batteries. The kit came with a diversion control to prevent over
voltage, and a grid-tie inverter that plugs directly into an ac outlet.
This is legal, up to 600 watts in Holland. I am planing to test it with
an AirBreeze, but i have not had time to do it yet. cost was around
$300 and reviews i have read say they work.
I see on the web that they may be available from a company called
Insight Wind and Solar.

Let me know if you try it.
