Benn and Bill,

 

Paul and I got together last week and took a beta unit out to test several arrays at PVUSA. I’m very impressed with the capabilities. It has been a long time coming, but this product will revolutionize how most companies test, analyze, and commission PV systems. Hats off to Solmetric for taking the time and cost to make this essential tool affordable. The mid-October timeframe seems reasonable. Be patient, but it is very close.

 

Save up your Christmas money. This one is really worth it.

Hey Benn,

 

        I've been communicating with Paul Hernday the at Solmetric concerning the PVA-600 and also an issue I'm dealing with concerning a 6 year old array's output.  My impression was that he was the lead person in making this tool happen.  They are fine-tuning some of the software for this unit and he feels pretty confident that it will be available for purchase by mid October.  Solmetric's number:  (707) 823-4600

It appears to be a very useful tool for system commissioning.  

We are looking at picking one up and are looking for some early feedback. 

What other tools/equipment have you found essential in evaluating PV system installation/commissioning/performance?
