[RE-wrenches] Evergreen to China, What is American made?

Mexico is on this continent and will always be very tied to our economy. There is labor there who are interested in jobs, and there is a lot of solar potential. Their utility portfolio might be unimpressive right now, but the cost of power is high and I wonder if the facilities there will attempt to offset %100 with solar. I'll be looking out for that announcement.

And just to add to the mix, while Evergreen is moving to China, Sanyo is moving some production to Mexico:

"SANYO Energy S.A. de C.V., a subsidiary of SANYO Electric Co. Ltd., has officially opened and started production in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The plant is assembling SANYO's HIT (Heterjunction with Intrinsic Thin-layer) solar modules at a capacity of 50 MW annually, with the assembled panels to be used in installations..."
