[RE-wrenches] Helix Wind

They could have called themselves Blownergy just as well. :-)

I saw these guys at one of the shows somewhere a while back, and it
prompted me to discuss their merits (lack thereof) with my fellow wind
bozos on the AWEA list - mainly, that this thing is perfect blend of low
performance and high cost that so MANY are searching for. We know that
the helical shape of the rotor is no more, and maybe less, efficient
that a conventional Savonius turbine, and we know that vertical is not
the optimal orientation for PV (unless you happen to be in Alaska), so
they provided the icing on the cake by creating the need for sliprings
on a timy, spinning PV module that should blow the mind of any known
MPPT controller available.

PT Barnum would have loved this thing.
