Outside yes, ocean no. Corrosion comes from moisture, the salt is just  
the fast acting catalyst, methinks. And the fog, no doubt. It's quite  
a bit drier hereabouts. I'll start keeping a weather eye out for  
failures on down the road, but so far so good.
