Of course, but perhaps it is a generator system with solar assist. Do you have a kWh/day estimate? When you size and price kWh cost of the generator running with they will come to their senses. Use Homer (NREL) to give a basis for energy costing, they have suggested numbers for generator-battery-solar operating costs.
