Thanks for the replies. 

Tump, my understanding is that the outdoor wood boilers use PEX tubing. Are 
you guys using PEX linesets for solar thermal now?  I've always shied away 
from using PEX since it's only rated for 200-deg. Please clarify.

can buy insulated line sets for direct burial from most of the outdoor 
furnace
