David,

Let me weigh in here.  We installed around eight Schuco SDHW systems last
year.  The one thing about Schuco is that you really need to understand how
their system is assembled, or I guarantee you will miss a component or an
assembly direction that is key to making the system function correctly.
Their manuals cover most of the small details, but you really need to read
the manuals carefully to pick up on everything.  And not just the main text
- read the little side bars too.  Pay particular attention to the
compression fittings: your line set should be perfectly round and free of
any burrs from cutting.  Also, we have found it helpful to use a high-temp
pipe dope or sealing compound with the compression fittings.  Oh, and if you
are using their tanks, note that they are single wall and not OG-300
compliant.
