[RE-wrenches] Shoes, matting for roof work

I have used (on both metal and shingles) old carpeting on low pitch high
traffic areas. you could even fasten the upper end of the carpet with
S-5! clamps if you wanted.
with shingles, a piece of metal strapping nailed into a rafter (ala roof
jack) and bolted thru the carpet with some fender washers will protect
that high traffic area on hot days. fuzzy side down, backing upways of
course.
