 I agree, with out those of us willing to "lead" then said manufacture below
would NOT be in business very long.
Perhaps Marv has yet to deal w/ VAPOR ware in the industry, poor company
warrantee service & the costs to our reputations & bank accounts when WE the
installer has to eat the cost of making it right! Its has been a LONG up
hill battle, some of us have been in the trenches for a while & still have
the taste of dirt in our mouths from past experiences w/ manufactures &
their reps.
That being said; Marv where are the Sanyo inverters????? Another delay?????

I understand that you're a respected industry veteran and all, but I don't
think it's appropriate for manufacturer's representatives to be telling the
rest of us on the list what we should be allowed to say.  This list was
started after all for installers and specifiers of equipment to share
technical information and professional opinions of products.


Lots of us in the industry have had to repeatedly service products that
weren't ready for market & been burned by manufacturers unwilling or unable
to support them.  I think Mark's concerns are valid, even if his
expectations are higher than what some of us would expect from a mfr.

sales and marketing at Enphase for further discussion.  Prior to that, I 
would suggest that you visit our website at www.enphaseenergy.com to get 
up to speed regarding our products, warranties, and reimbursement policies.

As you have aired this to such a wide audience, I feel compelled to 
provide some feedback.  Again, further discussion can be taken offline.

A warranty is only as good as the company and personnel behind it.  We 
can all recall instances where manufacturers did a great job standing 
behind their product and some where they did not.  It all comes down to 
their intelligence, intent, and integrity.

It is up to each individual to determine how they want to compete in the 
marketplace.  If you wish to use horse and buggy for material 
transportation, and pen, paper, and U.S. Mail for communication, that's 
your prerogative.

Much of the discussion comes down to fortitude and what type of risk you 
are willing to take.  Some blaze the trail, and others are more 
comfortable following the established path.
