[RE-wrenches] Wireless control of off-grid pumps

I've played with the Hudson valves and have not had the experience of a "snap-shut" opperation others have mentioned, nor in exploring the valve can I see how it would. They have my pumps cycling like crazy and throttled back in flow as the last 1/8" of water in the tank is topped off. I also found that surface water disturbance from the discharge rocked the float only compounding the problem. I'm back to my trusty and expensive Cla-Val valves that truly snap open and closed. They will fill that last 1/8" in an hour where the Hudson would take 5-6 hours. If I was running the pumps solar direct this would be completely unacceptable. Maybe I'm just all wet from trying to make a Hudson work as a snap vlave, but this has been my experience on a few Hudson's.
