SDHW insulation [RE-wrenches]

Hi Todd,

We are using Aeroflex Aerocell EPDM insulation with good success.
It is a split tube with an adhesive already applied to the mating faces
as well as an EPDM tape that lays over the split (already applied to the
product). We then use a roll of their ProTape (EPDM) tape to seal joints
and completely cover the exterior runs of insulated pipe.

The Aerocell has a UV resistance & the tape adds more insurance to the
job. It is rated to 257 deg F.

I think AC 7834 SSPT is number - it is a 7/8" i.d. (for use on 3/4"
copper tubing) and 3/4" of insulation thickness for conditioned spaces.
We step the insulation thickness up to 1" for outdoor & attic spaces.

Hope this helps!
