PHEV and PV [RE-wrenches]

Here is a report that a friend of mine co-authored when working at NREL:

It doesn't specifically address grid-connected PV generation, but it does
have information regarding increased load on the grid (minimal), charging
schemes to manage that load to avoid increased peaker demand, and the
emissions associated with a PHEV fleet in the Front Range of Colorado.  The
report is based on Xcel Energy territory in CO.

He wants to include in a similar study Extended-Range EV data (such as the
Volt) and include PV as a generation source in the emissions study.  I think
this will look very favorable for PV.  Maybe someday an add-on to an EV
purchase will be a 2 kW grid-tie?
