Low Voltage Air Conditioning [RE-wrenches]

Starlight Solar wrote about using a 9000 BTU "mini-split" air 
conditioner with inverter for his trucker client. Larry wrote that this 
was too much cooling for the cab volume but it was the smallest he could 
find.

Mick says: There's a 2,500 BTU rated air conditioner that you might like 
to look at. This is--don't laugh--for keeping doghouses comfortable, and 
the product is called Pet Cool. Some of the electric car hobbyists have 
used this and I think it's been around for awhile. 

Mick says: The gizmo seems to run on about 400 watts AC, and it has a 
retail around $400. If you do a google for "Pet Cool" + "Air 
Conditioner" that should turn up many retailers, but I don't know who 
builds it.
