Standard contract clauses [RE-wrenches]

There have been some very positive responses to my email gripe about not having the benefit of a trade organization to help advise us on things like standard contract clauses and things to watch out for related to liability, payments, and documentating system performance.

However, most of you are concerned that the general public can read these emails and they do not want potential clients reading these since they could involve future legal issues.

For anyone wanting to take part in this first attempt to come up with some "common sense" contract guidelines, if you will send your suggestions and any related "stories" about what caused you to add these contract or proposal items, I will put them into some kind of standardized format that can be edited and copied by you. When this is finished, I will send this document in both Word and PDF format in private email attachment to everyone who helped. 

Of course you may still want an attorney to review, but at least you will have a bunch of clauses that you would not think of including in your proposals as others doing the same type work learned the hard way.
