wind controller [RE-wrenches]

Of course Bergey's Xl.1 controller has an input for solar but I've never
used it for such. I think it's limited to 30 amps of solar @ 24v
input/output and doesn't do MPPT (for the solar).

Yes, we're still here. Yesterday's tornadoes missed us by no more then a
few miles. Baseball size hail took out a service truck windshield but I'm
not complaining as it could have been a lot worse.

The Outback FlexMax 80 can be used with the ARE110 and a voltage
limiter. Kestrel also uses the Outback MX-60 with a voltage limiter.
Wind turbines can reach excessively high voltages and some manufacturers
have started using voltage limiters to allow for longer wire runs on
battery charging units by upping the voltage to 200 volts from the
turbine then limit it to 130 V before the MPPT controller.

I would like to see Xantrex make an 80 amp MPPT controller that could be
used with a voltage limiter on a wind turbine. It would be nice combined
with solar PV, the XW6048 inverter and the Xanbus network. All the input
info on one control panel !
