My Northerly brothers & sisters, has any one ever adjusted or seen an
adjusted program for estimating the output from an array that takes into
account snow. I am working on a 20kW array that is ballasted mounted ,
max angle is 5*@ 43* lat.
We have snow presently that would be covering this array and yet the
PVWatt calculator still states that there is cost savings of $117.- 200+
during Dec. thru February.
Yeah I know that we aren't really concerned w/ winter gain BUT over a
LCT of 30 years, the system, if snow covered, will not generate $13500.
Am I correct in making this assumption?Anyone else out there as whacky
as I am?
