4th Annual Small Wind Power Conference Announced
Stevens Point, Wisconsin
Small wind installers, manufacturers and advocates from around the
nation will gather in central Wisconsin for the 4th annual Small Wind
Power Conference. This national level conference, set for June 17-18,
2008, brings together manufactures, installers and policy makers to
address issues surrounding small wind systems.
The Midwest Renewable Energy Association, one of the premier
renewable energy education organizations in the nation, hosts the
Small Wind Power Conference. "This is the only conference in the
nation dedicated solely to professionals in the small wind industry,"
said Mick Sagrillo, President of MREA Board of Directors, and
Wisconsin's Focus on Energy Small Wind Expert. "It's a one-of a kind
experience to dialog directly with manufacturers about their products
and future developments," said Sagrillo.
Small Wind Power Conference Topics Include:
* Updates from wind turbine manufacturers and importers
* Test results and updates on wind turbines and equipment under development
* What does it really cost to install a wind system
* How to successfully navigate your way through insurance, zoning and
the permitting process
* Problems encountered in the field and how they were solved
* Innovations in the Industry
* Input from dealers and installers: what works and what needs work
* Update on NABCEP certification for small wind turbine installers,
the NEC and small wind, and wind equipment certification
Stakeholders in the small wind industry should attend. This includes
professionals such as wind system installers, site assessors,
equipment distributors, and manufacturers. The conference is also
designed for educators and policy makers such as renewable energy
program implementers, state funding agency representatives, zoning
officials, and policy makers.
