makita charger question [RE-wrenches]

Definitely lighter. At first it didn't have very long run time, but  
it seemed to actually get better after several cycles. I bought extra  
batteries, so I wouldn't run out. IT seems to be decent performance,  
but my coworkers have the 12 v NiMH setups, that seem close for much  
less dinero, and they can charge in the field from Mod sine.
My charger sounds like the fan is about to fry a bearing; for as much  
as this setup cost, I figure they could have spent more than 50 cents  
on the cooling fan.
If this outlasts my previous NiCad drills, then I might start getting  
more excited.
