What is silly about that whole warranty thing is that 104 average don't mean
crap.

Here in Phoenix we are below the 104 average, but I have measured panel
temperatures as high as 165 where mounted on roofs with poor clearance
ventilation.

Ok I'm a little confused (more then usual). What's definition of "average"
temperature? 24hrs, monthly, annual? There's no place in the world that
has that has an average temp of 104f, right? So they must mean a shorter
time frame. Pretty much any place in the lower 48 can hit 104f for a few
hours a year.

Are they talking about ambient or cell temp?

Thanks for the help.

Travis and Wrenches,

I received an update a few weeks ago. regarding the HIP-xxxBA3, as of
August 17th, the temperature restriction remains:
NO WARRANTY if installed in locations where the average temperature
reaches or exceeds 104F.
