Lead Tracking Software [RE-wrenches]

Given a choice between Goldmine or Outlook Business Contact Manager. I'd
go with Outlook. I used them both for years. Outlook is more user
friendly, And will track emails from and to your leads without any
programming changes or modifications.

I never used prophet so I don't know how good that program is.

The 4 most important questions in determining a system to use:

1. How many sales people do you have working leads?
2. How much access do you want to give each of them to your database?
3. How much over sight do you want to have over the sales reps
activities and the leads they are working?
4. What's your budget?

Goldmine is very popular, but prophet has some merit.

Wrenches,
As grid-tie continues to grow, we are finding that the "memory method"
of
tracking leads is becoming problematic. Getting older isn't helping
either.

Who has worked with a lead tracking software that you really like? What
makes it good? Compatibility with MS Excel would be a big plus.

Suggestions of software to avoid would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Allan at Positive Energy
