Hidden Low profile conduit through roof - flashing? [RE-wrenches]

I am standing by, waiting to hear how an LB or SLB can be installed in 
conjunction with a mechanical flashing and still fit under a low profile 
array.

I assume that those recommending LB's propose to hog a hole out of the 
roof, jam the LB in and caulk the heck out of it.

Is such the case?
