makita charger question [RE-wrenches]

Jay,
I have no experience with the Makita chargers but in the past I have
had to cut ventilation holes into a Snap On charger to use it on a mod
sine so it wouldn't melt down from the excess heat generated. Made a
cult little black lump when it got done cooking down. Snap on replaced
it under warranty.
On a Craftsman charger it would blow the fuse and it ended up I had to
up the fuse from a 5 amp to 5.5 amp if I remember correctly. No
problems after that with either charger.
A hint that has helped me with battery life it to run it down all the
way to flat before you charge it. If you have a flash light use that
to discharge it fully before you recharge it.

Best of luck,
Bob
