CFL follow-up [RE-wrenches]

I have had such bad luck with CFL's that I have gone back to Halogens for
any lighting that gets switched on and off much.
About a year ago I bought a 10-pack of (supposedly) name brand Sylvania and
as of right now only 2 of them are still working.
If this is "green" then I must be missing something.
