Todd.  A staggering number of people starve each day, and the number is

growing.  With bio-fuel, the sustenance of millions will be burned in the

tanks of those who can pay.

Add to all this and the research that suggests one bio-fuel SUV fill up 

= the energy equivalent  of food for one person for one year, and you 

have to wonder... in a world where people still starve to death, if 

burning food to fuel our vehicles is really all that ethical?



I also have read that all those ethanol plants converting food (corn) to 

fuel (alcohol) are powered by coal (so a negative EROEI). In addition, 

without the government subsidies, they would not be economically viable.



I am no fan of bio-fools.
