ReWrenches,
We have just started running into squirrel chewing on our array wires.
It has been primarily on flush mounted low profile installations. We
have developed a method of fencing the perimeter of the array using
wire mesh, and it seems to do the trick at keeping the rascals out.
I am curious on how others are dealing with this issue? Any one have
high percentages of rodent munching?
More importantly, how do you all handle liability issues? Who pays for
the repair? Do you raise the issue as a potential hazard at the sales
stage? Offer "squirrel skirts" as an option on your quotes?
Thanks!
