SMA's outdoors in really cold temps. [RE-wrenches]

I've been installing Sunny Boy's indoors to protect them from the "wicked
cold" that we get here in Northern Vermont. 30 to 40 below zero (Fahrenheit)
is not all that uncommon during cold weather in the coldest spots. SMA
says -13 F for minimum temperature. Oil in the capacitors can freeze and
break the cap. No warranty.

We have two installations coming up that will be much less costly if the
inverter can live outdoors. So, I'm wondering what other installers in cold
climates have come up with, other than always installing them indoors.

Has anybody tried installing them in an insulated cabinet. Of course it
would have to be large enough to allow adequate air flow. And it would need
to have a temperature activated ventilation system for day time operation.

Or, are there other grid-tie inverter manufacturers that will warranty their
units to super cold temps?
