It's almost that time of year again....Mick Sagrillo asked that this
be "spread far and wide"...so here 'tis!
This is a great conference.....born at the MREF on a Sunday morning
after the famous MREA breakfast (we won't mention the hangover
part). It's been a great experience for me to be involved with the
conception and growth of this event. Attendance doubles every year
and the turbine manufacturers are definitely paying attention to
what the installers have to say.
It's definitely worth attending....hope to see a bunch of you there!

A Gathering of Installers, Manufacturers, Dealers and Distributors
June 12 and 13, 2007

This conference will address issues relevant to the installation of
small wind systems (100 kW and smaller) and address the current
status of each This is the third formal gathering of people and
businesses involved in the specification, siting, installation,
maintenance, funding and permitting of small wind systems.
Topics to be covered will include:
• Updates from wind turbine manufacturers and importers
• Test results and updates on wind turbines and equipment under
development
• What does it really cost to install a wind system
• How to successfully navigate your way through the zoning and
permitting process
• Problems encountered in the field and how they were solved
• Vertical axis wind turbines and other ‘innovations’
• Input from dealers and installers: what works and what needs work
• Update on NABCEP certification for small wind turbine installers
*Who should attend:*
Wind system installers, site assessors, equipment dealers and
distributors, manufacturers, Renewable Energy Program implementers,
state funding agencies, wind workshop presenters, zoning officials,
policy makers and other stakeholders are encouraged to attend.
The conference will be held on June 12 and 13, 2007 from 9am – 6pm,
near Custer, Wisconsin just prior to the 18th Annual Renewable
Energy and Sustainable Living Fair. Participants in the conference
are encouraged to stay for the Fair at the MREA’s Renew the Earth
Institute June 16th through the 18th.
