120 degree azimuth [RE-wrenches]

I have had to install arrays facing due east to try and pick more of the early sun to compensate for very high mountains blocking all afternoon sun from west, or face due west on projects with major tree shading all morning sun on east.

I have also had to mount arrays more than I would like to admit facing 45 degrees east of south, or 45 degrees west of south due to very odd roof arrangements, but in all honesty, the clients were still happy and we have not noticed a major difference in system performance. I am sure a long term metering program would show some reduction in performance, but in all cases, the client was willing to take what they could get. We always advise the client upfront if this is not the best mounting arrangement for their system.

Hope this helps,

Jeff Yago
