HI Marco
When I built my 12 Outback inverter system the cost
was compared with single inverter and I concluded it
was cheaper to do modular than single. But if systems
got larger a cross over would occur. However the
efficiency would suffer with the larger system. My
original design was studied and created for a 15
inverter system. Mine is however a grid based system.

In operation the system is working excellently. It
starts in the morning with 1 inverter and slides up in
inverters as the sun brightens, and scales back as the
sun dims. The efficiency is excellent as measured
using hand held instruments on an instanous basis.
