Joel, Ray, Kelly, Mystery Man,

Just to let you know, I'm compiling parts of this discussion for use  
in a future HP article on assorted battery topics. My article Top Ten  
Battery Blunders is prepared for the August issue of HP, thanks to  
lots of input from you-all. So keep the discussions going. I'll also
