Hi William and Travis,

1. The Load Start setting does not override the gen timer. 2. The gen
timer only prevents the start of the generator. It does not force the
gen to shut down early (when it is still bulking or absorbing). (Note
the SW Plus is different as it will shut down the generator when quiet
time begins, i.e. it's a true "quiet time")

Regarding the gen exercise problems, they were fixed around 2001 with
Rev 4.04 and higher I think.

Hope this helps!

Mark

Travis:

It is my understanding and experience that the generator quiet time
defeats all auto start modes except Load and LBCO. This is easy to test
by setting the parameter artificially high (or low for load start) to
fool the inverter into starting while you are there to observe it.

It is our policy to set quiet time to end no earlier than 12:00 noon.
This way the solar day does not start with a full battery bank.

Also, we have seen the SW act unpredictably if the exercise period was
set at any value deviating from the factory 30 days. Xantrex was able
to replicate this in the factory and was going to address this but I
don't know if they have as of yet.

Good question on the bulk timer colliding with the quiet time. I can't

answer this, but this too can be tested by artificial settings. Let us
know what you discover.

Good luck.
