Since your modules have anodized aluminum frames, it would be risky to 
have them in contact with galv. steel in an actual marine environment 
since electrolytic corrosion can take place where dissimilar metals 
meet, especially if you throw a low grade stainless into the mix - or 
copper. When I was in the boat biz we never used SS < 316. It is common 
to see galvanized steel last 50+ years in the splash zone and as support 
members on floating docks, but it has to be a good grade - not schlock. 
It is also common to see anodized aluminum last a long time at the 
water, but not in it.

At 1.5 miles from the ocean though, you're out of the most corrosive 
zone so I doubt that it would be a big problem - unless you happen to be 
on the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica. Ay-yi-yi!
