Hi Kurt;

I've been trying to prod (gently) the Bergey guys for years to come out 
with a 48 volt version of the XL.1. I guess they have issues on the 
alternator side that I can't quite appreciate. Sure would solve some of 
the high current (and possibly) grid tie issues we're seeing with this 
monster windmill (I've regularly seen 1700 watts measured from a 1000 
watt rated unit)
