I agree, and would support such an advocate.
Interesting development here...I called the Chief Inspector for the state of
New Mexico about the PS1/50A interconnect breakers/690-64(B)(2) issue that
we have been discussing. I explained the intent of the exception, and the
inability to send more than 30A back. He understood, suggested I submit this
as a written request for interpretation. Apparently there is a statewide
committee of inspectors, engineers, and industry (not PV-specific) that
meets every two months to look at Code interpretation issues. I will do so.
Perhaps we'll get a ruling allowing a common-sense approach, rather than the
letter of the Code. I will post here in a couple of months what develops out
of this.
