Fluke 36 (was looking for tool favorite tool) [RE-wrenches]

Allan,

Did your Fluke 36 have problems with the inrush (max) feature?  Ours has an 
offset when I switch to "max" of about 5 amps, and unless the inrush is 
greater than that amount,  I won't catch the peak.  Plus, I'm not sure I 
trust the reading anyway at this point, given what's happened.  That 
trade-up sounds like a good deal.

contacted Fluke about repair. They won't repair that unit, but for an amount
roughly half the cost of a new one, they replaced it with a Fluke 337. It
has the features you mention, can do AC and DC, and is a very good meter for
our needs.
