Hi John,
You say 150 kPa - that translates to 21.8 PSI or about 50.2' of head.
Not exactly low head - or did I do that calc wrong? Or did you mean
15kPa? What's the flow? What's the present power level?
If it is 50' of head you might consider going to a Turgo or Pelton
wheel and you should contact either Canyon Industries or HiPower at
http://hipowerhydro.com/index.htm.
If you meant 5' of head then contact Ron Macleod for a Scroll Francis
Turbine.at http://www.waterturbine.com/index.html Francis' will work
up to 50' of head too but will be more expensive than a pelton.
Canyon can also probably rework the old Mitchell. If you have a
cross-flow you probably have less than 50' of head. Pray tell.
