dc overcurrent protection [RE-wrenches]

I am taking this John Wiles course right now where he showed a slide of
not once not twice, but thrice dc over-current protection. 15 amp fuses
to three leads each with 20 and then finally a single 80amp fuse and I
will try to get a better understanding of it tomorrow during the second
day of class, but it does not make sense to me? If anyone can explain
it please do.
