Hello wrenches,

Water distillers appear to be a potentially beneficial option for using
excess solar production. One gallon batch distillers are available that use
1000w for 3.5 hour.

When the battery is full, fill the distiller, reset, and plug into an ac
recep controlled by a relay activated by aux relay in float mode and come
home to a gallon of distilled water on a sunny day.

One gallon distillers range in price from $99.00 to $700.00. I assume
quality varies but $700.00 can buy more than quality in a heating element,
coil, fan, and switch wrapped in stainless steel.

Anyone with water distiller experience or otherwise care to comment?
