Brian,
We use a gear pump with a bypass valve for regulation. Dunno what's up
with your pump, is the intake line collapsing and causing a stoppage?
But we don't just pump the antifreeze in. We flush the system (with the
pump in line) throroughly with fresh water and then folow this with the
antifreeze. If possible, I prefer to actually let the system heat up before
the final flush. This gets the flux in the pipes moving with the water and
mostly out of the system when you flush. I don't like the thought of it
kicking around in the loop reacting with the antifreeze & all.
cheers,
Conrad Geyser
