Jeremy,

The gen. is the problem. Being able to charge with your wee little Honda and
the Generwreck should have proved that to your client. Obviously make sure
the circuit between the gen and the OB is low resistance.

<<I have a client running an FX2024T. He has been trying to EQ the battery
bank for days now, and it appears to be an issue with his generator. The
generator voltage at no load is 122vac and as soon as we plug the cord in,
the voltage to the inverter drop to 77vac. I know this is too low to allow a
transfer and sync. I let him try my little Honda 1kw genny and also a
Generac 5500w unit. Both allowed the inverter to charge the batteries.
Is the OB FX much more discrete when it comes to gen voltage and Hertz? The
client wants to get rid of the inverter now. He is convinced that the
inverter needs a pure sinewave AC input. If his gen works with a DR unit, I
and he will be more concerned.
Any advice or comments appreciated Jeremy >>
