I recommend starting at Solar Energy International in Carbondale, CO and
making networking contacts. Then visit interesting PV companies to see what
they really do and get a feel for where he/she wants to fit in the industry
(installer, contractor, engineer, designer, R&D, small business,
multi-national, government, etc.). Then get a job or go to the best
engineering or management school. Have a clear focused plan, but keep in
mind that wonderful opportunities come to people who are prepared. Listen to
people who do what they say and enjoy what they do.

Hi All -

We have a recent High School Grad, who at this time does not want to commit
to a 4-6 year formal college education. However, they are willing to commit
to higher education in the PV industry. They have the resources to learn at
any school in the country. Where would you suggest they should look?

Thanks for any input!
